Vintage Rolex Submariner 5513 Full Set (1965)
This is a beautifully preserved and untouched watch. The most important aspect about this watch is the desirable meters first dial, which does not have any visible imperfections. The patina to the indexes and hands is coherent, throughout consistent and uniform beautiful, vanilla/cream color that is matching. The watch is untouched and comes with its original Rivet bracelet. The bezel is original, ghost and very uniquely grey-bluish hue. It is becoming increasingly hard to find complete sets with a high quality and well preservation like this one.
The Submariner reference 5513 was in production a very long time and more than 25 years, with production ending in 1988. The matte dial, as in the example you see here was an early feature. However, this is no ordinary matte dial – it features the “meters first” depth rating, which is indicative of early production, and makes this watch highly collectible. The watch is in the legendary 40 mm case, crown guards, and beveled lugs for which this reference is known. This watch makes a strong case for the handsome looks of the 5513 lasting forever, getting even better with age especially the patina of the matte dial. The best part: which makes this watch complete and a collectors item: The full set with all original warranty booklet, box and even tags!
